Rachel M. Stevens
Ms. Stevens began working for the firm after her first year at the University of Tennessee College of Law, and is an associate in the firm's civil litigation practice.
She earned her Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in 2007, graduating magna cum laude with degrees in Sociology and Political Science. Ms. Stevens was a News Editor for Vanderbilt's student newspaper, The Vanderbilt Hustler.
At the University of Tennessee College of Law, Ms. Stevens was a Student Materials Editor for the Tennessee Law Review, participated in UT's Pro Bono programs, and was a student member of the Hamilton Burnett American Inns of Court. The Tennessee Law Review selected Ms. Stevens' casenote examining the constitutionality of student searches by law enforcement liaisons as a 2008 Outstanding Casenote. While still in law school, Ms. Stevens argued a case before the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals on behalf of the firm and represented clients in immigration cases through the UT Legal Clinic.
Ms. Stevens graduated cum laude in May 2010 with a Concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution.
